About us

We are a structural and miscellaneous steel detailing firm. Our firm has several qualities we believe set us apart from much of our competition.

 

First, every member of our core team started detailing steel with pencil and paper. We were all trained in the methods and philosophy's of a gifted individual who passed on the knowledge he acquired in an age when professionalism and excellence were the rule in the drafting room.

Second, we have extensive experience with delegated design. Delegated design is becoming increasingly onerous. It can have a major impact on the pace of a project. We include delegated design in our price. In addition to robust experience with connection and stair design, we have a long standing relationship with engineers who provide all additional calculation and engineering stamps required. From the fabricator's and project manager's perspective, projects with delegated design will not present any additional effort than those without this requirement.

Third, even though our core team started out using pencil and paper, we have made it a priority to stay at the cutting edge of technology. This is most clearly exemplified by our investment in the equipment, software and training necessary to bring the power of 3D scanning to our detailing workflow. In addition to this, we leverage more software packages than we have space to list as well as proprietary methods and tools that have been developed in house. We never stop advancing and we will never rest on our laurels. This commitment is a defining characteristic of our organization.
